Anthem on Ashley

The apartments at Anthem on Ashley overlooks the Historic Fourth Ward Park
and feature a stunning two-acre lake, walking trails, and a splash pad. The
interior courtyard features a saltwater pool, cabanas, greenspace, grilling
stations, or the perfect afternoon. Unfortunately, the drainage and
waterproofing system below the pool had failed, resulting in water leaks,
drainage issues, and heaving of the overburden. United was tasked with
removing the overburden, removing and replacing the HRA waterproofing
system, improving the structural level drainage system, reinstating the
geofoam, placing a new topping slab, and final wear surfaces. The repair also
required the removal and rebuilding of 20% of the pool structure. This was all
completed on time while overcoming the challenges of an enclosed courtyard
that restricted equipment access and required inline pumping of concrete over
300 feet.
