Project Summary

The Harris County Criminal Justice Center in downtown Houston, Texas is a
20-story law hub serving Texas’ largest county by population. The downtown
building at 1201 Franklin Street went through restoration and mitigation due
to flooding after Hurricane Harvey. United Restoration was contracted to
complete the restoration and repairs required on the exterior envelope.
Accessing the façade with multiple suspended scaffolding units, United was
able to complete the repairs in a timely manner on the 350 ft tall skyscraper.
The complete scope of work included; panel spall repairs, epoxy crack
injection, architectural surface crack repairs, complete sealant replacement at
the fenestration perimeter, expansion and control joint replacement, glazing
sealant replacement, façade cleaning and application of a sealer.
