Following a rain drenching tropical storm, The Westin in New Orleans contacted
United Restoration to help with water leaking issues that had affected a large
portion of their building. The leaks had caused closure of an entire stack of
rooms. United initially reacted with an emergency response crew, in order to
correct obvious exterior deficiencies and replace all interior finishes on 18 units
in a span of four days.
We then set forth with Arnold and Associates to complete a full skin renovation
that included, window flashing and sealant replacement, through wall flashing,
stucco removal and replacement, sheathing repairs, extruded silicone at high
movement joints and the application of a new architectural finish and design.
All of this was completed while keeping the high-end hotel operating at full
capacity.
